This is good, Trouble. One of the reasons I hate dating (especially procured via online means) is that the profiles do end up like resumes, in that you’re trying to put the best spin on “you” out there to see what it attracts. And then first dates end up being like job interviews in that you’re often sharing your qualifications to see if there’s a good fit.
You spend all this time trying to spin the best possible version of yourself (hopefully not in a misleading way, but just in terms of trying to present yourself in the most appealing way), just so that you can find someone with whom you can finally be yourself around. Seems like an imperfect tool, but it’s the one we have, at least in a situation where someone isn’t going to have a chance to get to know us in a more natural setting.

Yah the phone thing is crap. I’m a HUGE introvert and dealt with social anxiety and yest I can manage to call a stranger for pointless small talk and yes you can determine MORE chemistry from a phone call then 1000 texts.
